A Cinematic Celebration of Armenia’s Legendary King

premiere of Tigran the Great, a groundbreaking documentary–film hybrid that brings to life the
story of one of Armenia’s most iconic rulers. The premiere will take place at the AGBU
Pasadena Performing Arts Center, 2495 E. Mountain St, Pasadena, CA 91104, on October
18, 2025.
Tigran the Great was more than Armenia’s king — he was a ruler who carved his name
into history. From sea to sea, his empire thrived, and his vision continues to inspire
generations today.
The film stars the legendary Aleksandr Khachatryan, under the direction of Vaga Vardanyan,
and is produced by Tigran Manasyan and Vahe Hacopian.
Tigran the Great tells the story of his life — the trials that tested him, the triumphs that defined
him, and the unwavering love for his people that built an empire. This cinematic journey not only
celebrates his reign but also honors the resilience and pride of the Armenian spirit.
