The mind is our greatest enemy but can also be our greatest ally if we know how to tame it and make it work in our favor. Through physical exercises, we link the emotional, mental and physical world for a perfect alignment that will enable the performance to take place with no effort and under optimum conditions. You will learn about: Body movement and mental coordination Getting rid of shyness, blockages, self-doubt and lack of self-confidence Ability to perform freely without a sense of judgement to be able to create as an artist Clarity of through, physical expression and presence. Here are some of the questions Nora will explore:

How to get rid of mental blockages that do not allow a performer/ actor to grow How to liberate the body through movement, and purify the mind so that it does not present an obstacle to the performer How to find the traits of the character we are playing within our own persona How to listen, react, and be present in the state where theatre and creativity can flourish Bio Nora Armani, an award-winning actor/filmmaker with International stage and screen credits, holds a Masters Degree in Theatre/Theater (& film) from Hunter College CUNY, a Masters Degree in Sociology from The London School of Economics (LSE) and a BA in Sociology and English (Drama) from AUC. Nora has taught theatre and coached internationally including Paris, London, New York and Los Angeles, at all levels from performing arts schools to colleges universities and State Conservatoires.

Under her Paris-based film production company Square Mango Films Armani has organized and guest-curated film festivals internationally, at AFI in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., The Pompidou Center in Paris, ICA London, The British Library, Cine Lumière London, Edinburgh Film Festival, Kerala Film Festival India, Birmingham, Inverness and Cardiff. She has participated in conferences at the Central Eurasian Studies Society (CESS) at Harvard University, and Harriman Institute at Columbia University, and has taught LSE Media Studies on Cultural Identity in Cinema.

Her films have screened in the official selections of the Cannes Film Festival, IFF Rotterdam, Paris, London, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Denver, Oregon, Kerala, Monaco, Shanghai, Yerevan and New York. As an actress Nora performs internationally in many languages, most recently on stage Off-Broadway in Terrorism at the LenFest Center for the Arts directed by Velanu Dibba, in Piradello’s Six Characters in Search of an Author directed by Patrick Mulryan, and “Black List: Redemption” on NBC TV.
