Columbia University School of the Arts is proud to present Terrorism, directed by Velani Dibba. The production features award-winning Armenian actress Nora Armani in two completely opposing character roles. “I am very happy to take part in this New York production and play two quite different characters. I am enjoying both tremendously. The cast, the director and everyone working on the play are wonderful.” said Armani.
Terrorism is a darkly comic rendering of the latent violence lurking beneath the mundanity of everyday life. Delayed flights, BDSM experimentation, neighborly gossip, and locker room talk are exposed as dangerous cat-and-mouse games where we can no longer tell the difference between perpetrator and victim. This English translation of the contemporary Russian play by the Presnyakov Brothers composed of six vignettes, interrogates why we can’t seem to stop torturing one another. When each choice we make might spark an explosion, is there any way to keep the bomb from going off?
The ensemble cast, where roles are doubled to cover multiple characters, features:

Terrorism will run for a strictly limited engagement at The Lenfest Center for the Arts at 615 W. 129th St. Performances are March 5, 7, 10, 13 at 8pm, with a 2pm matinee Saturday, March 14.
